Upon returning to marina both engines, no throttle at idle in forward gear, the port engine RPM suddenly increased to around 1500 RPMs and stayed there.
After tie up, upon increasing and decreasing port throttle RPMs, engine returned to 650 RPM normal idle.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Are your engines equipped with Digital throttle controls or cables?

Very interesting. I had a similar issue. Leaving dock everything was fine. Upon meeting up with friends to tie up, my port motor was racing when in neutral. It was a real challenge to maneuver up to adjacent boat the first time this happened. When departing and starting my trip back to my marina, everything was fine - no racing, easy shifting. Upon arriving at my slip and starting the docking process, the racing port motor again became an issue. When in gear it seems fine, only racing each time I pass through the neutral position of the shifter.

When I had my boat surveyed, the Port engine was idling at 1100 while Starboard was normal. I flagged that as an issue to resolve. The mechanic determined the engine had a stuck fuel injector and to replace it and all the spark plugs. Fixed the issue.
