I bought a 2007 3760 earlier this year and it did not come with overboard discharge for the holding tank, it requires marina pumpouts only. I intend to take it to Canada, the gulf islands and desolation sound where there aren't many pumpouts so you have to discharge overboard. Does anyone know if this can be easily retro fitted? It was an option when the boat was new but I guess the original owner didn't get it.

You can’t add the pump or macerator to your boat and dump your holding tank water in the Great Lakes. Canada or the US. If your boat had the macerator, it needs to be locked out to prevent any accidental discharge. Intentional discharge is against the law.

You can add a "Y" valve before the the macerator pump but it is required to have a lock out. I have been in many marinas that we needed to use the macerator because the marina pomp out would not get the job done. Also go to the epa website and look up the no discharge zones or just the regs. regarding it for the proper info. You'll find it in section 312 of the clean water act or in the col. regs. 46CFR 56.50-95
