I have a 2002 3860. I am trying to replace to Nova Kool Frig. The frig is barely to big to fit through the door. I am needing about one more inch. Is it possible to remove the stop to allow the door to slide open a bit further? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have the same boat and my fridge also needs replacing. I looked at salon door and to me looks as if it will need to come out (i didnt do yet), Looks to me like the panel above the door will need to be removed, then door. I dont think removing fridge door gives enough space. I would like to know how you do with this, please post your findings. Good Luck!!

We have the 4460 but I think same sized cabin doors. We had our salon refrigerator replaced and they were able to do it by removing the refrigerator door.

It appears the door is going to have to come out. There is a door stop, but that would only give me about 1/4 inch at most. Anyone ever removed their door? And good give me some tips?

I know this thread has been dead for a while but I thought I would add my experience when someone googles this like I did. I was very close to taking out the door but decided to give it a shot without removing it and short answer is that it worked. We had to remove the bump stop and the screw for the stop on the door by removeing the upper gauge cluster to access it. Then removed about half to the plastic door piece on the left side. I know it is only an eigth of an inch but it mattered. On the refrigerator, Nova Kool RFS7501, we removed the doors and all of the hardware on the front. On the back where the cooling coil is, we removed the screws and very carfully rotated the coil to the side. It barely fits at this point but it did go through. By barely I mean it rubbed on both sides of the door opening goinge through. I had a preson up top pushing it to go through. The copper coolant lines are not very stiff so we were very carful and all went great. Good luck and I hope this helps someone down the road. My boat is a 2005 3860.
