2665 engine hatch removal method

As I am sure all of you 2665 owners know, the engine hatch is 2 pieces...an inner and a larger outer. Does anyone have a good method for lifting the outer to get easier access to things in the engine bay? It doesn't allow just lifting one side and it takes 2 people to lift it out of the boat, while being quite awkward! I was pondering adding handles somewhere, unless someone else has a better way.

I love the boat, except for this. I have never had engine bay access so difficult on other boats I have owned.
