I have a 2002 4260 that we enjoy very much but, I'm not happy with the helm seat. We boat on the Chesapeake bay and anyone who has been on this body of water will tell you, crab traps can be a problem. Catch one with your running gear and the day is ruined. I noticed while looking at other Regals of the same class that some have a helm seat with a bolster. I would like to upgrade my seat to this configuration. Does anyone have any information? Great Lakes Skipper offers the hardware for this application but I wanted to see if other owner have attempted this change.
Thanks BillO

I would recommend that configuration if you can do it. I had a 4460 for several years and it came with that config and I almost never sat in the down position with the seat always used the bolster or stood. We had the 4460 on the Chesapeake as well, so I understand the challenge crab pots bring to helming a boat on that body of water. A decent upholstery shop in your area will surely be able to help you and I would recommend going with a local shop if that is able.
