So I'm chasing my tail with new used boat 2004 Regal Commodore 3860. The water pump is continually cycling in very small blips. I've gone around to all the locations that I can access to look for leaks and have found no smoking gun. The manual states there is a check valve, but I can't see anything in line, so I'm assuming its integral to the pump.....but that is a question. I did hear what I believe was back flow gurgling after running the aft sink after disassembly in inlet line to the pump. Could the pump be the problem? Any best approach to diagnose the pump like shutting off the outlet if that would work?
Also, the manual says there is an accumulator tank, but for the life of me I can't find one. I've look everywhere and I can't believe Regal would place it in an inaccessible location;. Any hints on where to look?
I think I've crawled around every square inch and my back hurts.

Pete,
From my experience, the check valve and accumulator are built into the pump. Since the accumulator is so small, just a few drops of water can cause the pump to cycle. My guess is that the pump probably needs to be rebuilt or replaced. To prove it, you could cap off the outlet right at the pump and see if the issue was still present.
Good luck!
