I purchases a 2019 Regal LS6 new and took delivery in the spring of 2019. We have had a lot of fun with the boat. A problem that has reoccurred is with the actuators on the power swim platform that lowers into the water. So far, they were replaced in 2021 and 2023. I've been told by the service technician the actuators are not designed for use in the water. The insides of the acupuncture rust and seize up. The first replacement in 2021 was covered under warranty. The second replacement in 2023 had the actuators covered under warranty but I paid for the labor. In the future I will be responsible for the entire cost. The part is approximately $1,00 and the labor additional. Unfortunately, Regal was less than responsive as I left 2 messages a week apart that were not returned. I eventually spoke with a supervisor at Regal who told me it is a known problem that cannot be solved short of routine replacements. The costs will be mine in the future. Recently, we had the chance to see the first LS9 at our dealership. Because of this issue we took a pass.

It would be odd to continue manufacturing a known issue from years prior into a new model boat. This should also be problem with other brands as most design using the same parts for similar features. I hope that a new part has been identified to eliminate this going forward.
