Looking for ideas to help reduce the sound of my generator. 2000 Commodore 2960 with a Westerbeke. I was thinking of adding some sort of insulation to the engine compartment hatch panels. Any ideas to reduce the decibel level of the generator besides a generator sound enclosure?

I used Hushmat and some D shaped rubber weather stripping to reduce sound in our boat engine compartment.
